For being a canvas tote I’d say it’s exactly as sturdy as I expected. It can sit up straight on its own it can also be completely crushed to the floor by running into it which is is more preferable to me than something with wire edges or breakable plastic. I’m not exactly sure how some reviews thought it would be sturdier than it is. The sharks are just adorable for our ocean theme. The only thing I’m mildly concerned with is the fake leather straps as I have not had the best experience with this material holding up the most longterm and would have been perfectly happy with plain canvas straps in its place, but the color does go well and this is based on past experience and not the current product so it could be totally fine
