Okay I never leave reviews but I had to put out time for this one. I know people get the branded ones which are more expensive, this one does the job. I am a new mom and just want fresh foods for my little one learning to eat foods now and it’s soooo easy to use and includes the containers and spoons and super easy to clean which is nice as a mom when you’re always so busy taking care of your little one. I’m in love with this. I’ve made foods like sweet potatoes, carrots, bananas, peas, mangos, regular potatoes, apples, and so much more and it blends so nicely and smoothly making it 100 times better than the jar foods made at the store. I’m now saving sooooo much more money now that I’m making food at home AND it’s fresh for my little one. I never thought I would do it with the thought of having no time to make food but this makes it so easy and very little time to make. SO WORTH IT. If you’re wondering if you should get this yes you should LOL

On the positive, this thing purées all types of meat and vegetables fully with no problem. I use this to purée my mother’s food who has dementia with no teeth/dentures and can’t get them. I purée her food in advance, then put them in the freezer. The downfall I had with this device was:
1. You have to keep washing out the bowl, because food gets trapped around/under where the blades sits down on the gear pedestal. And you will need to wash off the base of the blade once you pull it out, because food will get on the bottom of it after you try to remove it from the bowl.
2. It’s hard to grasp the blade up at the top to pull out of the bowl when you’re done puréeing without either cutting your fingers or you need to use a paper towel to hold onto it to pull it out of the bowl
3. If you are puréeing multiple things, you need to make sure that you do not pour anything over the middle gear pedestal blade, because that goes up inside of the top lid, that will cause food to impact the inside of the turning gear inside the lid.
I will keep this due to the fact that it purées steaks!! I will have to compromise with the rest of the shortcomings, that’s why I gave it a 4

While I was getting my great niece a food maker, I tried out a few, and this one was a clear winner. It mashes food wonderfully, with only a couple of spatula scrapings or the addition of a little liquid. It is a great size to make 1-3 servings. It is very easy rot clean. And it takes up so little room I can leave it on the counter. I can also put a second serving for tomorrow in the fridge, or use the perfectly sized containers. Live the soft color, too. A great buy!!
