"I purchased them anyway for a river rafting trip down the Colorado River through the Grand Canyon and I was wrong - they were absolutely perfect! The soles are some kind of rubber and have some traction so these were great for short hikes on trails and through vegetation or on rocks - my feet were completely protected. But for hiking, I was more than comfortable. And my feet dried quickly due to the draining ability of these shoes."

How much do they weigh?

**They don't weigh as much as tennis shoes but a little more than flip flops.
