You never know what you're going to get when you buy third party battery's off Amazon. Most of the time they're barely acceptable but so far I'm impressed with this battery. I got this for my Dell Inspiron 15 7000 series. I've only had it a little over a week but it seems like it is as good if not better than the original OEM battery when the laptop was brand new. I can't speak to longevity but so far so good. It came at 76% charged and I drained it to 15% and charged it back to 100% and waiting for it to drain again. When looking at the Dell Power Manager it states the manufacturer as Samsung SDI, Battery Type: Enhanced, Connection: Primary, and Dell Battery: Yes. If you purchase this battery you can check the specs by right clicking on the battery icon and choosing dell power manager. It should detail the manufacturer and other details I stated above. Highly Recommend based on what I received so far.

I also replaced the battery which was even easier than the LCD screen. I got this battery and a new LCD screen here on Amazon.com and they were both for my Dell Inspiron 15 7579 2in1 40 pin round corner laptop. Just pop the back off, 10 screws total, and there the battery is. Remove two screws holding the battery, disconnect the cable from the motherboard and install onto the new battery, swap out the battery, reconnect, rescrew, and you're finished. So I'll update if anything changes. This is only day 1....You can read my review of the LCD screen here on Amazon that I also replaced at the same time as this battery. That screen replacement was a little more tedious but not difficult at all and it is also working perfect so far...knock wood lol. I gave 5 stars to the screen also. I'll update if anything changes. UPDATE: I went to the warranty website found in the packaging of the battery and they sent me a replacement battery that works pretty well so far!
I followed all the proper installation a few months ago by removing the old battery, discharging by holding the power button for 20 seconds, and reconnecting the new battery after.
The first couple months the battery held up great and didn't give me any issue, however now I'm back to only being able to use the battery while it's plugged in the charger. Don't want to try to buy another and repeat the same process in another 3 months.

This is my second purchase of this battery. The first one I bought lasted two full years before showing signs of wear, and it was not treated gently. It was used in warm conditions, charged and discharged randomly, partially, left on charge for days, every kind of abuse a normal laptop user would apply, and it lasted twice its warranty period.
I'm more than satisfied, and just bought this replacement. An outstanding battery all around!

Just installed. Battery life seems slightly longer than the original Dell battery that came with my laptop. Installation is delicate. Review multiple YouTube videos before you start. If so, the process should be fairly straightforward. For me the most delicate part was attaching the connector to the battery. It came with zero charge. After a full charge, I ran it for five hours before completely draining the battery. That is a bit better than the original battery when it was new. So ... I'm pleased.

I installed this new battery into my laptop a couple days ago, and so far it's been amazing. It's like having a brand new laptop! My old battery was so busted, the computer would die and shut itself off after roughly 20-30 seconds of being unplugged. It had to be constantly connected to the power source. Now, I charge my laptop for an hour or two, and then I get several hours of use unplugged! I'm very happy. I can't rate it on longevity yet, but if anything changes I will update my review. So far so good!
