I used this unit to share my headset microphone and web cam between my work laptop (for work meetings) and my main desktop computer (For game streaming, and creating podcasts).
It worked great for about a year.. Then it stopped supporting both the webcam and headset. I used it only for the web cam and manually unplugged / plugged the headset.
It worked fine in that configuration for about 3 more years. Last week it stopped switching; so it would be discoverable by my main desktop, but not my laptop.
Honestly, for a device like this I think I got a good run out of it, but I wish it stayed supporting both devices for its full life.

I have two laptops, a Windows 10 machine hooked to two external monitors and another Linux machine hooked to a single monitor. I needed to share the keyboard and mouse between those two and it works. I noticed that when I switch Windows to Linux it takes up to 5 seconds to switch the keyboard and mouse, but when I switch back to Windows it just takes 1 to 2 seconds. Overall, that is OK for me since I use the Windows computer for work and the Linux one for personal use. I tested sharing USB flash drives and it works as well. I also tried a USB headset and worked just fine as well (Plantronix USB headset).
