You never know what you're going to get when you buy third party battery's off Amazon. Most of the time they're barely acceptable but so far I'm impressed with this battery. I got this for my Dell Inspiron 15 7000 series. I've only had it a little over a week but it seems like it is as good if not better than the original OEM battery when the laptop was brand new. I can't speak to longevity but so far so good. It came at 76% charged and I drained it to 15% and charged it back to 100% and waiting for it to drain again. When looking at the Dell Power Manager it states the manufacturer as Samsung SDI, Battery Type: Enhanced, Connection: Primary, and Dell Battery: Yes. If you purchase this battery you can check the specs by right clicking on the battery icon and choosing dell power manager. It should detail the manufacturer and other details I stated above. Highly Recommend based on what I received so far.

I also replaced the battery which was even easier than the LCD screen. I got this battery and a new LCD screen here on Amazon.com and they were both for my Dell Inspiron 15 7579 2in1 40 pin round corner laptop. Just pop the back off, 10 screws total, and there the battery is. Remove two screws holding the battery, disconnect the cable from the motherboard and install onto the new battery, swap out the battery, reconnect, rescrew, and you're finished. So I'll update if anything changes. This is only day 1....You can read my review of the LCD screen here on Amazon that I also replaced at the same time as this battery. That screen replacement was a little more tedious but not difficult at all and it is also working perfect so far...knock wood lol. I gave 5 stars to the screen also. I'll update if anything changes. UPDATE: I went to the warranty website found in the packaging of the battery and they sent me a replacement battery that works pretty well so far!

I followed all the proper installation a few months ago by removing the old battery, discharging by holding the power button for 20 seconds, and reconnecting the new battery after.

The first couple months the battery held up great and didn't give me any issue, however now I'm back to only being able to use the battery while it's plugged in the charger. Don't want to try to buy another and repeat the same process in another 3 months.

Just installed. Battery life seems slightly longer than the original Dell battery that came with my laptop. Installation is delicate. Review multiple YouTube videos before you start. If so, the process should be fairly straightforward. For me the most delicate part was attaching the connector to the battery. It came with zero charge. After a full charge, I ran it for five hours before completely draining the battery. That is a bit better than the original battery when it was new. So ... I'm pleased.

I bought this for a new M1 14” MacBook Pro. The fit is very snug. This makes getting the two top corners in require a bit of finger work but also provides superior protection. Only the two lower corners have the special reinforcement for extra protection against dropping. This may be best, considering how the top corners get wrangled when putting the laptop into the case (reinforcing the top corners might make that harder). The zipper going down 3” on the right side (label facing you) and 5” on the left side means you can plug the laptop in via its MagSafe 3 port while it’s in the case in either of the two hinge-up orientations even while the zipper is mostly closed.

Inevitably the slider of the front side pocket causes a lump that you wouldn’t want to press hard on as it could then transmit force to a small spot on the laptop vs spreading force over a larger area, but parking the zipper at the top as intended, by the thoughtfully added orange indicator, minimizes risk of that pressing hard against the computer.

A surprisingly well designed and built product despite the low price.

Recently bought a 16” gaming laptop and wanted a laptop sleeve to protect it. Bought this hoping it would fit it but was a little worried it wouldn’t. To my surprise it was a perfect fit. I was very happy that the sleeve has soft materials on the inside to prevent scratching or any damage to the exterior of the laptop as well as thicker corners to cushion any sudden bumps. Shortly after purchasing it I took it with me on multiple international flights which it survived. Definitely made traveling with my expensive laptop a much more enjoyable experience. I also liked that it had an outer pocket which I used to carry a few pens along with some paper. I also liked that it didn’t take up much space, I was able to carry it in my backpack along with clothing with no issue. As for daily use, I was able to carry my laptop and its charger. My only worry is that carrying the charger on the outer pocket may damage the laptop screen but it really depends on how big the charging brick is as well as the laptop durability, but so far i haven’t had a damaged screen yet and I carry my laptop with me pretty frequently. I highly recommend this product as well as any tomtoc product as they are priced pretty fairly and come with a warranty.

Pros:

- Fits slim gaming laptops

- Soft interior to protect laptops exterior

- Thicker edges to protect laptop from sudden bumps

- Good quality zippers

- Comes in lots of colors

- Water Resistant

Cons:

- Doesn’t fit larger charging bricks for heavier gaming laptops (tight fit for my charger...little worried that the charging brick may damage my laptop screen but haven't had an issue yet)

- Wish outer pocket had was a little larger to allow for easier access to laptop charger

Overall Opinion:

I think it’s a really good investment because it allows you to travel with your laptop safely and securely. Not only that, it also comes with a warranty which is awesome! Definitely a product worth buying!

I purchased the clear version for my 2020 MacBook Air 13.3 and for what its worth - it is almost perfect.

MacBook Clear Cover: At first glance I was worried. The clear cover inside looked like it already yellowed. However, it became crystal clear once I removed the protective wrap around it. It has secure tabs to make sure the cover is in place and installation was pretty straightforward as long as you can orient the case to the proper direction. The instructions could be a bit better, but thankfully they included photos of what to look for before attaching the cover to the MacBook. The case gets micro scratches pretty easily. I noticed it around the Apple logo since I have the shiny mirror finish instead of the light up logo.

Keyboard Cover: I'm surprised mine came with two. My assumption is just incase one fails - I have a back up and since it will be the most touched/used part of the MacBook, I'm glad they included two. It mattes out the color of the key caps, but it does not affect the performance of the keyboard. It does not go over the Touch ID button for that reason, but it feels nice to have a protective cover.

Screen Protector: I think this is the only bad part about the bundle. There were no instructions on how to install, so I followed what I normally would do for installing screen protectors for phones. The protector is not glass, so you would need to work with the included cardboard card to push out the screen bubbles once you apply the screen protector. Since there were no clear instructions, the screen protector is covered in bubbles, but I only notice it when my MacBook is off and the screen is off. The included card also caused the screen protector to show the "scratch" marks it leaves as I tried to remove the bubbles.

Random Stickers: There were two sets of sticks that were included. However, I do not know what the are for, nor does it seem to fit anything on my MacBook.

Soft Pouch: I'm pretty sure this is for the charging brick and cable which is a nice inclusion to make sure it does not get exposed to outside elements and it will be in one pouch.

Overall: I think this is a great basic case for the MacBook Air especially at the price. Will definitely recommend. The screen protector is a hit or miss, but I do not see the need for it.

The case is really good and very easy to put on. It comes with 4 extra stick on feet for the case & some decals that I don’t know what they’re for (with no instructions for their use) and a pouch that I thought was going to be big enough to fit the Mac air but it’s for the charging cord and the plug-in USB charger. The screen protector is very easy to put on and re-position if needed & it looks very nice once it’s on.

The reason I gave only four stars is because the keypad protector (which you get two of) doesn’t always stay in place. I use the laptop when I’m in bed and sometimes when I lift my legs up, the keypad protector will just slide off. There’s no rhyme or reason as to when. Sometimes you can’t get it to slide off even if you try and other times, when you least expect it, it will slide down to the trackpad.

Color is great, however the included keyboard cover has incorrect printings on it for a Macbook Air 2020 M1. This is the second product from this brand I have purchased and both had the same issue, ie the top row of icons printed on the cover do not match the actual buttons on your laptop.

Otherwise, great color. Lasts about 1-2 years before inevitably chipping or cracking, usually at the corners of the top shell. Given the price point, this is reasonable. 3.5 stars out of 5.

I really like this new case for my 2018 MacBook Pro. I ordered it based on required specs to fit this laptop. The only thing is, it covers up 3 of my 4 ports. Why is that? So I gave this a 4-star rating instead of a 5-star.

The case is clear, was easy to snap on to my laptop. It looks great, makes the laptop look like it's a new computer.

Recently just bought my first MacBook Air and wanted to make sure I kept it protected. I bought this case because of all the different colors.

The color looks great, the case snaps on tight and you can still see the Apple logo thru the case. It comes with a matching keyboard cover that while looks good, doesn't allow the backlit keyboard to sign thru. It's very dull and you can't tell if the backlight is on or not.

The case is great though, if you drop it, it isn't going to protect your Mac but this will defiantly keep scratches and other things off it.

Decent bag for the price, but a few complaints.

1. The clips on the shoulder strap are plastic and don't swivel. So you have to straighten out the strap every time you use it. Concerned they will eventually break.

2. The pad on the shoulder strap sqeeks loudly! Even audible in a busy airport, but even worse walking through a quiet office.

3. Every other back I own(ed) has a divider in the large pocket so I can keep papers separated from the computer. This one doesn't, so papers are getting wrinkled or come out of the bag when I pull the laptop out. Need to start using a folder, which isnt the end of the world. But like I said, every other bag has had an internal divider.

The laptop is well protected inside of the bag. There are no interior pouches for other items, though you could put some flat items in the laptop compartment,. e.g., a mousepad, folders, an 8.5" x 11" legal pad. I'm not sure a standard sized legal pad would fit. The exterior pouch holds a mouse, the laptop power cord/adapter and has a few pockets for miscellaneous items.

The only negative feature is the strap's pad. It's only a few inches long, not very wide and not very padded. I haven't traveled with it yet, but it seems like it could be inadequate for all-day traveling.

Honestly, this backpack is so completely deserving of 5 stars that it makes me question other 5-star ratings I've given in the past -- I guess you could say the bar has been raised! And I say that even as there's one smallish detail that I personally don't love (but you might), which I'll come back to... but still, even more than I thought possible, I absolutely love this backpack!

To get at least a general idea of why, browse to the Austere Grey 15.6" and check out the 7th image, actually a video. To that, I would just add...
- There are perfect-sized mesh drink-holder type pockets on *both* sides (because why do some manufacturers skimp even on that?!)
- The ring he hooks keys to has a quick-release button built in, as well! which also snaps really nicely back into place... It really is the little things!
- And just to highlight, for the external USB port, there's a built-in cable on the inside you can plug your USB charger into, which connects to the external port you can leave your phone / whatever connected to without having to open any pockets (and here again the mesh pockets on both sides comes in handy). And of and when you don't want to use that, there's no real downside: the built-in cable is completely out of the way, and you won't likely even notice the external port, which BTW doesn't appear to negate the overall "seal" of the thing either, except *maybe* if you were to hold the entire thing underwater. :)

The one smallish detail I would change, though, is that external port: it just happens to be USB-A while I'd prefer USB-C, for quicker charging... obviously not the hugest issue, and some might even prefer it that way. Personally, I'm seriously considering a bit of after-market "surgery" to "fix" this, which likely translates to having a pro unstitch and remove the port & internal cable, then stitch a (possibly 3D-printed?) replacement port into place. I wouldn't normally even consider that sort of "headache," but when the backpack overall is easily nicer than anything else I've found, even for 2x or 3x the price, it's suddenly really easy to make an exception.

What else...
- Something like 15 pockets? Which almost sounds overboard, but it's really not. Many are "optional" & otherwise out of the way, anyway -- just really well-distributed storage goodness! Oh, and the pen holders actually (easily) fit my completely normal-sized pens, unlike the new LL Bean bag I so promptly returned after getting this one. And the "security pocket" on the bottom, the side facing you as your wear it? Absolutely genius!
- The zippers having been what finally gave out on the 20+ year old LL Bean bag I replaced, I'm a bit more conscious now of "initial zipper quality," and these seem just as solid as they come: totally sturdy, while also zipping surprisingly nicely & smoothly :) But perhaps that's a moot point anyway, considering the...
- LIFETIME GUARANTEE! I hadn't realized this until mine arrived, but there's a card inside that says you can replace for any defect, for life!
- The sizes refer to the size of laptop that would easily fit inside. That said, even a 17" laptop might still fit inside my 15.6" bag, just pretty snugly, but I wouldn't chance it.
- if you do a lot of traveling, you might also want to consider the max size of a "personal item" on your favorite airline(s)...
- The 14" is 16 x 12 x 7.5 inches
- The 15.6" is 18 x 12 x 7.8 inches
- The 17" is 19 x 13.75 x 7.8 inches
- The 18" is... not sure! (but apparently those can actually fit up to an 18.4" laptop, which is huge!)

For reference, a free "personal item" on JetBlue is up to 17 x 13 x 8 inches, making even the 15.6" technically the tiniest bit too large, but that said I'd be absolutely shocked if even the 17" got so much as a second glance on 1/100 flights (maybe a little more likely if you're flying on Spirit or Frontier, in which case WTH were you thinking, anyway?). In any case, the 17" would almost certainly fit under any seat, even on the most budget of "budget" airlines.

TL;DR: I very rarely review anything, and I'm also not one to own multiple backpacks, especially not "just 'cause," but these are so perfect, not to mention affordable, that I've found myself happily doing both!

PROS: has the right amount of pockets, zippers, and organized compartments. The side mesh pockets with the elastic band is good for water bottles and umbrellas. I chose the Gray color for a nice low-key traveler color.
I have used this for on the airplane travel as well as everyday travel from my hotel to my worksite for the past 2 weeks. I am dispatched away from my home plant so going in and out of the hotel with my laptop, iPad Pro, personal phone and work phone along with all the charging cords and adaptors makes it easy and organized to do. I honestly enjoy using this backpack more than my the expensive $150 Northface pack. I know the Northface has better material quality therefore will last longer but it is cumbersome whereas this MATEIN Travel Laptop Backpack is more universal for my needs. The zipper works well, it's easy to open / close unlike some of the more expensive zippers that are "weatherproof" or "water-resistant" which makes for a tight fit and gets stuck unless you use 2 hands.

CONS: it's a little bit on the "flimsy" side. The strap has the mesh feeling which feels like it's scraping your shoulder or arms when donning or doffing the pack. I wish I could have ordered the "Red" pack for the same price as the gray but I went with the gray for the neutral color and a cost savings.

I bought this for a 9 year old laptop that has an internal CD drive that quit working. I plugged the drive into a USB port, loaded a software installation CD and it worked flawlessly and was much faster than the older internal drive.

The instructions were a bit confusing and started with the statement that when you plug the drive in you will get a pop-up box asking which program you want to use. Typically you see this when you try to open a file with an extent that doesn't have a define app to run it with and not when you connect a device. However, when installing a new device you frequently get a pop-up box telling you that your PC is installing some necessary software, typically a driver, required to use the device. I didn't receive any pop-up boxes including the software installation pop-up notice as the required driver was apparently already installed.

The only issue I had and the only reason that I gave the drive 4 stars rather than 5 is that when I opened the box with the drive in the plastic trim piece on the CD drawer was hanging on 1 side due to a manufacturing assembly problem. I aligned the trim piece with the drawer, pushed, heard it snap into place and it is now working OK. The trim piece is still not perfectly aligned and I have to push the drawer shut a little harder than I think should be necessary but it works fine. I'm sure that Amazon would have replaced the drive if asked but that would be a waste.

I keep the drive in a drawer and only take out when necessary. No reason to clutter my desk and my PC's USB ports are all on the side towards the front of the PC so the drive would be in the way if I left it plugged in. If you intend to keep the drive plugged in all of the time, note that the USB cable attached to the drive is only about 7 inches long so you might need a USB extension cable which the instructions say to only use extension cables < 31".

The attached cable pops into a trough on the bottom of the unit which keeps things neat and is a nice feature. The design of the trough on the bottom could be improved such that you wouldn't need long finger nails or a pointy object to pop the cable out of the trough.

It’s been many years since I’ve needed or had a need for a DVD or CD burner, but then I needed to do some projects and to my surprise I could not find good CD or DVD burner and also a DVD player.

I first tried a more expensive ORIGBELIE External CD DVD Drive,. It was nonfunctional junk so I returned and bought the far less expensive Gotega External DVD Drive, USB 3.0 Portable CD/DVD +/-RW Drive/DVD Player for Laptop CD. After a day of fighting with crap tech I sighed and got to work fighting the Gotega External DVD Drive.

Welll… EVERYTHING that I tried, starting with hooking it up to a Cheap Samsung Windows notebook and everything that I tried on the Mac worked exactly as it should. All devices found the DVD/CD Burner. I’m very happy with this product and I’m now back to where I used to be with optical media.

The sole complaint that I have is that the connecter cable ships in a contained groove. However, when the drive is connected, the cable is bent severely and will break soon. I had to create a different groove in a furniture slider and glue it in so that it would last. See pictures.
